This piece was painted in 2019 for the Beyond Plastic exhbition at the prestigious art gallery The Minories, Colchester in Essex. This very large piece has been painted on reclaimed wood that would have otherwise been binned or burnt.
 
The work has been created using vibrant acrylic paints in a loose impressionist style. Areas of the original wood have been lightly covered in the paint to celebrate the unique textures and charcters of this eco friendly canvas. The piece was designed to depic the beauty that can be spoilt by plastic pollution in the sea.
